On Gear Live: 2024 Nissan Z Nismo Review

Although it had been 18 months since we last left Jack Bauer (longer than the writers’ strike itself), fans still cared enough to welcome 24 back. Even though it was down 23% from Season 6’s debut, last night’s two-hour “bridge” movie - with help from an earlier football overrun - gave FOX wins in the viewers and the demos.

Nearly two weeks after the election, President-elect Barack Obama is still drawing record numbers. Last night’s interview on 60 Minutes attracted approximately 24.5 million, the show’s best numbers in 9 years. This performance helped CBS win the night with the viewers, though it wasn’t enough to take the demos from NBC.

All the action yesterday was found on the gridiron. A contest between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles helped NBC win the night in the demos. Meanwhile, an earlier game on CBS put the Eye network on top with the viewers.

Even though the show celebrated Halloween two days late, The Simpsons’ annual “Treehouse of Horror” special was still timely with the viewers. Last night’s animated event gave the series its best performance in the demos in nearly five years. That result, in turn, gave the network a Sunday win in the demos. Meanwhile, the Patriots/Colts football game put NBC on top with the viewers.

After a week off for the NLCS, FOX’s comedy lineup returned to nice numbers. Last night’s episodes of King of the Hill and Family Guy even hit season highs. Regardless, the network did not do enough to overtake its competitors. CBS wound up winning the night with the viewers while tying ABC in the demos.

Last night, FOX greatly benefited from the Arizona Cardinals/Dallas Cowboys OT period. That matchup, combined with Game 3 of the NLCS, gave the network wins with the viewers and the demos yesterday.

Despite being down approximately 5% since last year, the retooled Desperate Housewives was easily last night’s best draw. Unfortunately, the show couldn’t fight off the Bears and Eagles alone. NBC - with the help of Sunday Night Football - was once again tops in both categories last night.

    The Amazing Race 13

For ‘s next season, CBS will be taking viewers on a whole new set of adventures. Adventures not yet seen even after 12 installments of the Emmy-award winning series.

Although we’ll still get what we have come to know and love - 11 teams, five continents, 30,000 miles of travel - the producers of the reality hit promise us that Season 13 will be like no other.

Where can we expect to take us this year? After starting in Los Angeles, the duos will travel to Brazil, Bolivia, Russia and India. The crews will also hit Cambodia (where they visit a “real-life water world”) and Kazakhstan for the very first time.

    Amazing Race 12

AOL recently polled over 1.3 million readers to find out what they love and hate most about reality television.

While most of the responses were entirely predictable (Best Villain: Simon Cowell), I must say there were a few winners I didn’t see coming. (Is host really worse than Julie Chen?)

Here are just some of the top vote-getters in this year’s poll:
